PHILIPPIANS 1:3-11

INTRODUCTION:

A.  For many, religion has become a social affair:

      1.  Worship God when it is convenient; Hebrews 10:25

      2.  Some would worship in a willful and ungodly way (to satisfy the flesh); Colossians 2:23

B.  For religion to be effective it must come from a sincere (obedient) heart; Philippians 1:10

C.  If we are to influence others we must live a sincere and godly life

B.  Ask God for direction, like Paul; Acts 22:10

      1.  God will hear the prayer of the righteous man; Proverbs 28:9; James 5:16
